On Oct 22 we woke to three inches of snow and ice on our car a hour latter we were on the road to the Oregon Coast. From Seattle to the coast we encountered heavy rains and they persisted. On the 24th of Oct. we drove to Florence Oregon and again it rained, after a great Sept. and two great weeks in Oct we are not complaining, we are just driving to the sun. This afternoon was great as we neared Port Orford the sky was clear and then inland through the coastal forest the colours became brighter. South of Gold Beach Oregon is a great stop at Meyers Creek Beach and Pistol River State Park.
